Local transportation service for women’s starts in capital
The Bagmati Transport Entrepreneurs Association has started local transport focusing women’s travelers in Kathmandu from Sunday, January 4, 2015.
The Association has commenced the service with 4 mini-buses en-route between Kalanki and Kaushaltar.
Tulasi Prasad Sitaula, secretary at the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport inaugurated the service amidst a programme in Kathmandu on Sunday.
Previously, Traffic Police had made mandatory to reserve three seats in every local transports to facilitate the women’s passengers.
