MetLife launches group medical insurance
MetLife has launched a new insurance plan “Comprehensive Group Medical Insurance Policy” in Nepal.
The new medical plan provides flexible benefits that can be tailored to fit the needs of organizations and their employees, said MetLife in a press statement issued on January 29, 2015.
The new plan offers a wide range of benefits for employees, their spouse and dependent children, said MetLife.
Similarly, the plan also provides basic in-patient general hospitalisation including daily room and board charges, nursing care and services, intensive care benefits, cost of registered ambulance services to and from hospital, surgical benefits, doctor’s in-patient visits, diagnostic x-ray and laboratory expenses in the hospital, minor surgeries and day care, selected pre and post hospitalization expenses etc.
The statement further states that it provides maternity care, out-patient / OPD general, dental and optical coverage. The company believesthat the plan will enhance the social securityfor the people and help them afford good medical care.
