MMC beats Far-western in National League inaugural

Manang Marshyangdi Club (MMC) has defeated Far-western Football Club 3-0 in the inaugural match of the Red Bull National League that kicked off at the Dashrath Stadium on Wednesday, January 21, 2015.

Mbile Stephen scored an opening goal in the early 4th minute while Shiva Shrestha doubled the tally in the 50th minute and Anil Gurung made 3-0 in the 62nd minute.

Altogether, nine teams are competing during the tournament — MMC, Rupendehi XI, Three Star Club, Jhapa XI, Armed Police Force, Morang Football Club, Nepal Army Club, Nepal Police Club and Far Western Football Club.

The winner will bag Rs 10 million while runner-up will get Rs 5 million and third place will receive Rs 2.5 million.
