Nepal Trade Union (Congress) warns nepalnews.com management

Nepal Trade Union (Congress) has warned nepalnews.com management (Mercantile Communication Pvt. Ltd.) to take the issues of its abandon journalists to the national and international levels if it turns “deaf ear” to the demands of the staffs.
Expressing his solidarity with the nepalnews.com staffs on Wednesday, January 21, 2015, Union’s president Khilnath Dahal said the nepalnews.com management cannot stay away from the rights of the working journalists. “The management should fulfill the demands of the journalists as per the policy immediately.”
If the company shows reluctance regarding the issues of the journalists, the union would take initiatives to blacklist the company at the international level, said Dahal.
Dahal also urged the journalists to fight for their rights.
As the nepalnews.com management had shut down the updates of news and affairs without any discussion and notice, the staffs are on indefinite sit-in protest since last 11 days demanding at least minimum facilities and compensations as per the policy.
