Opposition parties obstruct CA meet

The opposition parties — 30-alliance led by UCPN (Maoist) and Madhesh based parties — have been continuously obstructing the Constituent Assembly (CA) meeting on Thursday, January 22, 2015.

UCPN (Maoist) chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, senior leader Baburam Bhattarai and Madhesh based parties CA members are on the protest chanting slogan — constitution through consensus.

While the ruling parties including Nepali Congress and CPN (UML) have been working to introduce the statute through process, the opposition parties are continuously protesting since last couple of days.

Today is the last day to introduce the new constitution.
